Our Balmy Garden

Looooooong absence since updating the main content on these pages, I have been mostly working behind the scenes trying to get the site "wedding ready". But there are enough updates piled up that it is high time for a post!

Ki and I bought a condo (with the very generous assistance of my dear Mum) and are moving at the end of the month! We are moving to a lovely unit on a waterway with super convenient access to trails and amenities. It is a fantastic location and a cool little place, so we are stoked. Bonsai will have to get used to being more of an apartment cat, but there is good western exposure so she should have lots of warm sunbeams to soothe her.

Tomorrow we head over to Seattle to celebrate my birthday and hopefully recharge ourselves so we are prepared for all the excitement this month... Scotland for Liz's wedding, then a quick turnaround to be home for the move...whew!

So tonight we shall karaoke until the fat lady sings...unless I am the fat lady that is singing, in which case I hope the karaoke will go on long beyond that :o)

We've set our wedding date for July 17, 2010!

In other happy news, not one but TWO of our wedding party have announced their own wedding plans in the last month: Congratulations to Liz & Sandy and Becky & Marcus! The love is contagious!

I am three courses through my school program, half way done my fourth, still loving all the material I get to study.Work is steady and happy at my clinic which will make it easier to take time to celebrate Ki's birthday and Rob and Morgan's wedding in June... I think May will be all about resting up for what will be a very busy June!

The trees have finally blossomed! Huzzah!

I am continuing to slog through my VCCT program (after a week of complete distraction post-engagement) and am hoping for some warmer days to do my reading in the big beautiful backyard. And even if I miss out on a drastic weather change, Vegas is less than 2 weeks away! Yay! I have promised Dad I will not just skip town and get married, no matter how cool the shark tank wedding package sounds... which frankly is pretty dang cool. But luckily for him I can't afford it after buying some show tickets.

I am regretting calling this section "News"... I feel like something should have happened for me to write about. Any suggestions for re-writes? Or how does anyone feel about "News you can't use"?

Also, I am feeling some deep dark burning and yearning for some hot tasty BBQ. Weather permitting or not I think we are going to have to fire it up pretty soon.

I have a happy announcement to share: Ki and I are getting married! He proposed this last week and we will be celebrating our vows some time next summer.
